A Lawyer in Tampa, Florida, a Tampa-based law firm with a national presence, is seeking an associate with 2 - 5 years of commercial litigation experience. In addition to handling general commercial disputes in both state and federal courts, a significant portion of the firm's practice is devoted to representing financial institutions, broker-dealers, registered investment advisors and registered representatives in arbitration and regulatory matters throughout the United States. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, demonstrated academic accomplishment and be able to work collaboratively as part of a litigation team. Attorneys at Guerra & Partners are given immediate opportunities to gain valuable experience by taking active roles in all aspects of litigation. This includes conducting investigations, interviewing witnesses, developing case strategies and acting as first or second chair at trials and final arbitration hearings.

Job Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited law school; ability to research and analyze legal issues, draft legal memoranda, motions and briefs; interest in litigation; ability to interact with clients and opposing counsel; good, clear judgment. Prior experience taking depositions, arguing motions, or participating in trials or arbitration and practicing in federal court are preferred but not required.
