Carlton Fields is seeking an Intellectual Property (IP) associate with two to five years of patent and trademark prosecution and IP transaction experience. The ideal candidate will effectively manage day-to-day prosecution dockets and prepare USPTO filings, conduct searches, prepare clearance opinions/advice, client correspondence, office action responses, and effectively communicate with other lawyers and clients. Experience negotiating and drafting IP transaction and software agreements and conducting IP due diligence and M&A transaction documents a plus. A USPTO registration number or patent bar eligibility is strongly preferred. Excellent academic credentials, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and practical judgment required.
