Description:

As a member of the Legal team, you will support the A Business Analytics Software Company business by partnering closely with our internal teams, including our Engineering, Product, Security, Marketing, and People Teams, to provide strategic and legal advice on commercial agreements.

In this role, you will be the frontline attorney negotiating SaaS and other commercial agreements worldwide.

This is a contract position requiring availability for approximately 10 hours per week for an expected duration of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to software licenses, SaaS, partnerships, professional services, consulting, marketing and vendor agreements
  • Advise internal teams on legal matters related to commercial transactions, including contract interpretation, risk assessment, and compliance with applicable laws
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and provide strategic legal advice to support their commercial initiatives
  • Assist with other legal projects and initiatives as needed

What You've Accomplished… so Far:
  • You have a JD or equivalent degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the bar of at least one U.S. state.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience practicing law with a focus on commercial contract negotiations.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You've demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to grow as a person and professional by seeking out new challenges.
  • You've developed great partnerships with client leadership and are viewed as a trusted legal advisor and business partner.
  • You've mastered complex commercial contract negotiations and are comfortable with smart risk taking.
