Andrews & Cox, P.C. is seeking a Illinois-licensed attorney to join our growing multi-state creditors' rights and litigation practice.This position is located in our office headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
We represent financial institutions and creditors throughout multiple states and are seeking a motivated attorney interested in joining a stable, growing law firm with significant opportunities for professional development and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation and collections matters in Illinois.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and related legal documents.
- Attend hearings and court proceedings occasionally as required.
- Communicate with clients regarding case status and litigation strategy.
- Review legal filings for compliance with applicable court rules and procedures.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across multiple jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active law license in Illinois, licensure in additional states is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a significant caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior litigation experience preferred.
- Creditors' rights/collections experience preferred but not required
