A Private Jesuit and Marymount Research University College of Business Administration in Los Angeles invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Business Law. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. The expected start date for this term position is August 2024, as an initial one-year appointment, with the potential for renewal, dependent on funding availability and department recommendation.

The Department of Marketing and Business Law is looking for a candidate with extensive legal experience working in law firms and/or as in-house counsel. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. or J.D./M.B.A. from an AACSB-accredited institution and five years of legal practice experience or more is preferred. Prior teaching experience is also preferred. The applicant should have legal knowledge of areas of the law that impact business such as contracts, torts, corporate structures, and employment. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in service activities (support our Business Law Society, serve on committees, and assist in creating Business Law programming) and teach business law courses (primarily The Legal Environment of Business, an introductory business law course).
