About the role:Represents the organization on claims-related legal matters. Provides legal advice and counsel to claims personnel. Maintains control of files and litigation costs. Develops, prepares, and implements claims litigation strategy. Will manage both first party property litigation as well as liability litigation.

Candidates who live within 50 miles of Bloomington, Illinois will follow a hybrid schedule. Candidates more who live more than 50 miles from Bloomington will work remotely.

Base Pay Range:
$110,000-$151,250
- Assigns cases to outside counsel and evaluates their performance.
- Provides legal advice and training to claims personnel to ensure consistent file handling.
- Controls litigation costs and claim severity.
- Responds to subpoenas, court orders and other legal requests in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- May attend pertinent trials but is not attorney of record.
- May provide oversight and supervision to outside counsel on claims-related litigation.
