Description:

Responsibilities:

Represent survivors of sexual assault and abuse in civil litigation from case intake through trial or resolution.
Investigate claims and evaluate third-party liability, including institutional negligence or failure to act.
Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial motions.
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Prepare expert disclosures and manage expert relationships.
Work closely with survivors, providing trauma-informed client advocacy and legal counsel.
Negotiate settlements and, when necessary, advocate vigorously at trial to ensure full and fair compensation.

Qualifications:

Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Colorado.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil litigation, personal injury, or criminal prosecution of sex crimes.
Experience handling sensitive cases involving trauma survivors preferred.
Strong understanding of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and civil discovery practices.
Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Extreme attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and a commitment to providing superior client service.
