Requirements:

Must successfully pass the North Carolina Bar Examination and obtain a license to practice law in North Carolina as a condition of employment
Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in civil litigation
Reside in Charlotte, North Carolina metro area, and have the capacity to attend depositions, hearings, trials, mediations, and other events in person as needed
Ability to work effectively from home
Proficiency with Mac OS, Adobe, Outlook, Zoom, Microsoft Word, and other common office technology
Ability and desire to work independently or as part of a litigation team with minimal support/supervision

Daily Responsibilities

A VC civil litigation attorney manages a caseload of 10-30 open civil litigation matters from file opening to closing. Some matters are handled independently while in others the lawyer acts as part of a litigation team. You will:
Make strategic decisions in your clients' cases
Prepare and serve pleadings, motions, discovery requests, notices, and correspondence in those cases
Schedule and attend trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings
Attend firm events and meetings
