We are looking for an experienced civil litigation attorney who wants more than just another associate position.

What You'll Do:
You'll work directly with the firm's leading litigator in every phase of litigation while developing increasing independence as your experience grows.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
- Conducting legal research and preparing written analysis
- Taking and defending depositions
- Appearing in court for hearings and trials
- Practicing in mediations and arbitrations
- Working directly with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel
- Helping develop litigation strategy
- Contributing to the continued growth of the litigation practice
- Interesting, sophisticated, and challenging litigation work - not repetitive insurance defense work
- Direct mentorship and collaboration from the firm's lead litigator
- Immediate courtroom, deposition, mediation, and client experience
- No unnecessary bureaucracy or multiple layers of supervision

Qualifications:
Required:
- Active license to practice law in North Carolina
- Minimum of two (2) years of civil litigation experience
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage litigation matters
- Professionalism, initiative, level-headedness, and sound judgment
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: Starting at $90,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability, plus bonus opportunities.
