Responsibilities and practice:
Dentons US LLP is seeking an associate to join our Chambers-rated Capital Markets practice. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing, market-leading team representing commercial and investment banks in a wide range of financing and derivatives transactions for hedge funds, private equity funds, and registered investment companies.
- Work on financing and derivatives transactions for hedge funds, private equity funds, and registered investment companies
- Draft financing documents for complex structures and bespoke transactions
- Manage client relationships and independently move transactions forward
- Collaborate with colleagues in a sophisticated, Chambers-rated practice
Position Requirements:
Personal skills/attributes:
- Embraces teamwork, and contributes to a supportive and inclusive work environment
- Possesses outstanding oral and written communication and research skills
- Is conscientious with exceptional attention to detail
- Independent self-starter
- Has a sincere interest in career development in regulatory work and welcomes feedback
Technical skills:
- 3 years of law firm experience is preferred
- Experience with consumer credit regulatory and licensing matters is preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York and be in good standing
- Must include a law school transcript with application
