Business & Litigation Lawyers is seeking a motivated associate to join our growing team in the Richmond, VA office. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate with 5 to 10+ years of experience to have direct contact with clients immediately while being mentored in business law on a daily basis. This is a full-time, in-office position located in the Midlothian area of Richmond, Virginia with the potential to work from home for up to 25% of the work week. - 5 to 10+ years of litigation or related experience.
- The ideal candidate should have excellent legal writing skills and be comfortable taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, arguing motions, drafting pleadings, and managing deadlines.
- Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to the Virginia State Bar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help businesses make decisions on a day-to-day basis.
- Improve contracts of all kinds for small, medium, and large businesses.
- Help set up businesses and advise the owners as they grow.
- Be a ready responder to support business operations of all kinds.
- Judicial clerkship, law review, and/or law journal experience preferred, but not required.
- Graduated with honors or graduated from a top-ranked law school preferred, but not required.
- Prior work experience at an AmLaw 200 firm.
