Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and proficiency in legal drafting. The Attorney will be responsible for representing clients, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various areas of law including immigration law, criminal law, family law, and personal injury law.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and attention to detail.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in litigation matters.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to ensure comprehensive client service.
- Manage case files efficiently within the law office environment while maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements:
- MUST BE fluent in English and Spanish
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Pending or Active bar license in Texas
- Strong research skills with experience using legal research platforms like LexisNexis.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with a client-focused approach.
- Prior legal administrative experience is a plus.
