Brown Rudnick seeks a talented 3rd to 5th year associate to join the Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring group in New York. The ideal candidate will have significant restructuring experience including Chapter 11 cases, representing debtors and creditors, and official committees of unsecured creditors in all aspects of corporate restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings. Candidates should have substantial experience with bankruptcy court practice, including drafting and arguing motions, participating in court hearings, and managing contested matters. The successful candidate will be capable of handling sophisticated matters, managing multiple significant engagements simultaneously, and working effectively as part of a collaborative team. Strong analytical, writing, advocacy, and client-management skills are essential.
Our Dispute Resolution & Restructuring Department represents a diverse range of clients across high-stakes, complex matters in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The team includes high-performing, creative, and experienced lawyers with deep expertise in Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court workouts, catastrophic corporate loss, mass tort, liquidations, fixed charge and administrative receiverships, restructured credits and securitizations, security enforcement actions, corporate investigations, and a wide array of insolvency-related litigation. Qualifications:
- Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comparable law firm experience required; clerkship experience preferred.
- J.D. required and must be admitted to the New York Bar.
