Lucid Law is a consumer bankruptcy and debt resolution firm in Bridgewater, NJ seeking an Associate Attorney with a strong balance of Chapter 7 practice and out-of-court debt workout experience.You'll Handle
- Chapter 7 cases from intake through discharge, including client counseling and 341 meetings
- Rule 2004 Subpoenas
- Out-of-court debt settlement negotiations
- Some litigation
- Direct communication with clients, creditors, and trustees
Requirements:
- JD from accredited U.S. law school; active NJ license; certificate of good standing required prior to hiring
- 2–10 years of experience, ideally at a small-to-midsized bankruptcy or creditors' rights firm
- Comfortable explaining things to clients in plain English, not legalese
- Organized, diligent, and able to work autonomouslyProficient in Outlook, Word, Excel
- Within ~50 minutes commute of Bridgewater, NJ 08807 (no relocation)
Nice to Have:
- Tax negotiation experience
- Consumer Fraud Act experience
- NextChapter or Clio Manage familiarity
- Immediate availability
Compensation & Benefits:
$75,000–$115,000 base + bonus eligibility.
