A Tax, Business, Estates, Law Firm seeks a Bankruptcy/Litigation Associate to join our Annapolis law firm. A Tax, Business, Estates, Law Firm is a fast-growing full-service law firm based in Annapolis, Maryland. A Tax, Business, Estates, Law Firm seeks a candidate who is willing to jump into a fast-paced environment and grow the firm's Bankruptcy and Collections Practice. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Maryland, but licenses in Virginia, and the District of Columbia are a big plus. Outstanding research, drafting, and analytical skills, as well as a strong academic background, are required. The ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment and to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues is essential.

Responsibilities include:
  • Review of documents for filing bankruptcy cases
  • Drafting bankruptcy motions related to case needs.
  • Review bankruptcy petitions, schedules, applications, and plans.
  • Review and prepare collection cases for District and Circuit Courts
  • Experience filing documents in bankruptcy court and state courts
  • Filing petitions and motions in the various bankruptcy courts.
  • Extensive communication with clients, creditors, and court staff.
  • Provide support for our growing practice.

Experience:
1-5 years of Bankruptcy or Collection Experience

License/Certification:
  • J.D. required
  • MD Bar Admission required (DC/VA Bar Admission a plus)
