We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our legal team to work at the firm's Red Bank office, focusing exclusively on estate and trust matters. The Attorney will be primarily responsible for working directly with clients and their families, advising on estate planning options, answering questions related to trust and estate administration, and providing necessary legal support. The ideal candidate will thrive both independently and collaboratively, staying well-versed in the evolving legal environment and demonstrating excellent ability to maintain client relations and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-person meetings and consultations with clients at the firm's Red Bank office to discuss their estate and trust matters.
  • Provide legal advice on estate and trust issues, guiding clients through their options and the implications of different estate planning strategies.
  • Review estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and with clients, ensuring they understand the contents and implications of each document.
  • Educate and counsel clients on trust and estate administration, ensuring they are understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Advise on the funding of trusts, providing guidance on the transfer of assets into trusts and ensuring the correct alignment of assets with estate planning objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring they are supported and informed throughout the advisory and implementation process.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in estate and trust law to provide accurate and effective advice to clients.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the New Jersey state bar (New York license is a plus).
  • Knowledge of estate planning and elder law is advantageous.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to continuous professional development and growth.
