Description:
About the role:The ideal candidate has a strong background in real estate litigation and general civil litigation. You should be comfortable managing your own caseload, appearing in court, and working directly with clients in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Represent clients in all phases of real estate related litigation, including but not limited to discovery, court appearances, hearings, and trials
- Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Negotiate settlements and provide sound legal counsel
- Maintain regular communication with clients and manage deadlines
- Work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Meet billable time requirements
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership
- At least 3 years of real estate litigation experience
- Trial experience is a plus
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to client service
