Position Overview:
The attorney position focuses heavily on municipal prosecution and enforcement of ordinance violations including zoning and nuisance abatement. The attorney will also gain exposure to and assist on a variety of general municipal litigation matters. The attorney will regularly appear in municipal and circuit courts throughout Northeastern Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prosecuting municipal ordinance and local code violations including traffic and OWI 1st
- Advising municipal clients on enforcement strategy and legal compliance
- Appearing frequently in municipal and circuit courts across multiple counties
- Managing general municipal litigation
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and enforcement documents
- Working directly with municipal officials, police departments, and court personnel

Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin (or eligible for admission)
- Strong interest in litigation and courtroom practice
- Comfortable appearing in court on a regular basis
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Interest in municipal law, public service, or government representation
- Ability to manage a varied and active caseload
- Prior prosecution, municipal, or litigation experience is helpful but not required.
