Description:
Growing insurance defense firm seeks associate attorney to assist with litigation of personal injury/workers' compensation cases under Longshore Act. Ideal candidate will have experience with the Longshore Act. Experience under the Defense Base Act also accepted.Responsibilities:
- Assist senior attorneys in initial case evaluation and development of litigation strategy.
- Issue and respond to written discovery requests.
- Prepare trial exhibits and other pre-trial submissions.
- Assist in preparing settlement agreements, motions, and briefs.
Qualifications:
- We are looking for someone with experience under either the Longshore Act or Defense Base Act. We have no specific number of years of experience that we are looking for.
- Licensed to practice law in any state.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Former OALJ law clerks are highly encouraged to apply.
- Job can performed remotely.
