Description:
This position is a salary plus commission-eligible opportunity with no billable hour requirement. Commissions are based on attorney-negotiated settlements.
Must be licensed and in good standing with the State of California. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and familiarity with courtroom and civil procedures.

- General comfort with technology and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- The candidate must be able to work independently and professionally interact with staff, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Collection experience is preferred but not required, training is available.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Negotiate the resolution of pending litigation, motion practice, review and drafting of pleadings/discovery, document execution, and other duties related to a high volume practice.
- Attorneys are also responsible for attending hearings and trials in their assigned Regional area; the firm reimburses mileage and other travel-related expenses
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association (ABA) with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Licensed to practice law
- Demonstrated case analysis ability and a track record of proven settlement skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Proficient in internet and online research
- Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, scanner, and computer
- Effective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for details
- Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
- Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to represent the company in various forums to foster the desires and image of the company in the community
