Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents, including wills and trusts, ensuring compliance with estate law.
- Assist clients with estate planning, providing guidance on relevant legal matters.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, contributing to negotiations and strategies.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license.
- Strong legal research skills, including proficiency in Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent writing and legal drafting abilities
- Experience in wills, trusts, and estate law
- Familiarity with various areas of law such as family law and personal injury law
- Prior legal administrative experience is a plus
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to work collaboratively in a law office setting
