Responsibilities:
A Leading Test and Measurement Equipment Provider is looking for an experienced and collaborative Attorney to join our world-class legal team to support businesses and sales teams in the Americas. We seek a candidate who is team-oriented and excited to work with A Leading Test and Measurement Equipment Provider's suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to drive growth across our company. You will play a pivotal role in providing legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial and contractual matters. This position will preferably be based near a A Leading Test and Measurement Equipment Provider office in California or Colorado, but remote locations will also be considered. This position will report to A Leading Test and Measurement Equipment Provider's Managing Counsel for the Americas.
  • Become a trusted legal advisor to A Leading Test and Measurement Equipment Provider's global procurement team as well as other business clients and cross-functional stakeholders; conduct thorough legal analysis and risk assessments to identify potential legal risks and provide proactive recommendations and actionable guidance to support A Leading Test and Measurement Equipment Provider's objectives.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters related to commercial transactions, software licensing and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), advertising and marketing, intellectual property and confidentiality, antitrust, product safety and regulation, and dispute resolution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements with suppliers and customers including sales and procurement contracts, statements of work, software licensing and services agreements, and SaaS agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, global procurement, security, internal audit, finance, tax, and human resources to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of standard agreements and legal processes as well as projects to improve efficiency across our organization including templates, legal handbooks, and other legal policies and processes.
  • Develop and deliver internal training to enhance legal awareness on commercial legal matters, company policies, and best practices, and to promote an ethical culture.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and current bar admission with at least one state bar membership and eligible to practice in your state of residence.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a commercial transactions or litigation counsel, preferably in a corporate environment or law firm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to take ownership and complete tasks on time; a self-starter.
  • Sound judgment and ability to solve problems and analyze complex situations.
  • Team player with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and responsibility.
  • Interest in staying abreast of the changing legal landscape in the technology sector (SaaS, AI, Cloud, etc.).
  • Location: This position will preferably be based near a A Leading Test and Measurement Equipment Provider office in California (Santa Rosa, Santa Clara, or Calabasas) or Colorado (Loveland or Colorado Springs), but remote locations will also be considered.
