Job Summary:Smith Legal Group is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our established Nevada practice. We are looking for a capable, motivated attorney who is confident in the courtroom, provides excellent client representation, and can independently manage cases from inception through resolution.
The ideal candidate is a strong advocate and practical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment while maintaining professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a family-law caseload from filing through settlement or trial.
- Appear at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
- Develop case strategy and advise clients throughout their matters.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documents.
- Prepare clients and cases for court proceedings.
- Negotiate effectively and ensure deadlines and client needs are timely addressed.
Qualifications:
- Active Nevada Bar membership in good standing.
- Family-law and litigation experience preferred.
- Strong courtroom, negotiation, research, and legal writing skills.
- Ability to independently manage cases and competing deadlines.
- Excellent judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach.
