Mandatory AI Requirement
Demonstrated proficiency in AI-assisted legal practice is required for this role. Candidates must be able to show real examples of how they have used AI tools to enhance legal research, case strategy, document drafting, or client outcomes. Curiosity alone is not enough. We want attorneys who are already building with these tools.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury and mass tort matters from intake through resolution, including trial preparation
- Leverage AI-powered legal research tools to develop case strategy, identify precedent, and analyze opposing arguments with speed and depth
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, demand packages, and settlement agreements using AI-assisted drafting workflows
- Conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations with confidence and strategic clarity
- Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and support staff to maintain efficient case progression and communication
- Identify patterns across cases using data and AI tools to inform litigation strategy at scale
- Communicate complex legal and factual issues clearly to clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and courts
- Stay current on developments in AI legal technology, mass tort litigation, and relevant case law
- Contribute to firm process improvement by proposing and implementing tech-forward workflows and operational enhancements
Required Qualifications:
- Active bar license in Louisiana in good standing; multi-state licensure is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of litigation experience in personal injury, mass tort, or related plaintiff-side practice
- Active, hands-on use of at least one AI legal tool in a professional setting; portfolio or demonstrable examples required at time of application
- Proven ability to manage high-volume dockets independently while maintaining quality and client service standards
- Strong command of Louisiana civil procedure, evidence rules, and courtroom advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to improve legal outcomes, not just administrative efficiency
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills with attention to precision, tone, and persuasion
- Collaborative team orientation with the ability to lead support staff and coordinate across departments
