Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Criminal Associate Independent Contractor with 10 years experience with all stages of proceeding from prelim to trial.
Responsibilities:
- Experienced all stages of proceeding from prelim to trial.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies in various legal matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
- Advise clients on their rights and obligations under the law.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas such as securities law and tribal law & regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar association.
- Proven experience in Criminal law.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.
