Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas including family law, juvenile law, criminal defense, civil litigation, landlord/tenant law, and more.
- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, motions, pleadings, and briefs with precision and clarity.
- Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case theories, and participating in court depositions and litigation proceedings.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on issues related to family law, juvenile law, civil litigation, criminal defense, landlord-tenant disputes, and statutory legal research.
- Negotiate settlements and legal terms effectively while maintaining strong client communication and advocacy.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously through efficient legal case management systems ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate.
- Assist in trial preparation by coordinating witness testimony, compiling exhibits, and supporting courtroom procedures.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of procedural law and litigation processes across diverse practice areas including family law, juvenile law, civil litigation, criminal defense, landlord-tenant disputes, and more.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, legal negotiation, motion preparation, and trial support.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather relevant case law and statutory information.
- Excellent writing skills for clear legal drafting, advocacy materials, and client correspondence.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and colleagues alike.
- Familiarity with court depositions procedures and personal injury case handling.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
