Responsibilities:Michael D. Gallo & Associates, insurance staff counsel for An Insurance Company seeks an attorney with 5-8 years' experience to handle defense work for major personal lines carrier. Some experience in handling auto and premises work and litigation/arbitration experience is desired but not necessary. Competitive candidates will be well organized, detail oriented and able to independently manage a caseload where all work is time sensitive. The selected candidate should plan to spend time working both in the office and from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Qualifications:
- 5-8 years' experience handling defense work for a major personal lines carrier
- Jury trial experience strongly preferred
- Must have a law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Must have active license to practice law in Illinois and be a member in good standing of the Illinois Bar
- Strong automation/technology skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
- Experience working in a paperless electronic environment
