We're seeking a Licensed Attorney to serve as our Immigration Legal Writer (remote) who shares our dedication to lawful immigration and advocacy. We are looking for a skilled Brief Writer. You must have at least 3 years of immigration law experience and a demonstrated ability and successful track record of positive case outcomes at both the appellate and federal level. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, a high work ethic, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. This is a 100% remote position with competitive pay, offering $80,000 - $90,000 annually, with the potential for higher compensation for highly qualified candidates. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on immigration law and related topics.
- Draft high-quality legal briefs, memoranda, and other documents for Motions to Reopen, Appeals and Circuit Court submissions.
- Prepare detailed statements and legal products with precision and clarity.
- Collaborate with legal team members to ensure comprehensive and accurate legal documents.
- Review and edit legal documents to ensure accuracy, coherence, and adherence to legal standards.
- Work independently to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on ongoing cases and projects.
- Projects, as assigned, based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission or eligibility for admission in relevant jurisdictions.
- Minimum of 3 years immigration experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal research and writing, preferably focusing on immigration law.
- Applicants who fail to submit a writing sample will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, immigration regulations, and relevant statutes.
- Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized persuasive legal documents.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and ethical standards
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Attention to detail in proofreading documents and handling confidential information with discretion.
