Mockingbird Law is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, outstanding communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate sensitive legal matters. Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, agreements, and court pleadings.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
- Attend court hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement conferences as needed.
- Maintain regular and clear communication with clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the legal process.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' best interests in and out of court.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Stay current on developments in family law and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience practicing family law is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
- Empathy, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive client matters.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
