Description:
The Crossmore & Tiffany Law Office is seeking a competent and experienced lawyer to join our practice. The individual in this role will be responsible for appearing in court, interacting with clients, maintaining and progressing case files, adhering to deadlines, and acting as an advocate. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial litigation, contract law, trusts and estates, and/or bankruptcy. The attorney's position will include:- Preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, demands, contracts, appellate briefs;
- Independent case management;
- Engagement in mediation and settlement discussion
- Preparation and review of discovery demands and responses;
- Attendance at depositions;
- Legal Research;
- Appearance in Court for hearings, conferences, and trial.
Lawyer Requirements and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Skills of persuasion and negotiation;
- Strong time management and organizational skills;
- Detail oriented;
- Strong computer skills and competency;
- Professional attitude and strong personal ethics;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a law firm environment;
- Admission to New York State Bar.
