Job Overview:Garcia & Ramires, PLLC is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our Family Department. As an Family Law Attorney, you'll guide clients through sensitive legal matters with clear advice, thoughtful advocacy, and steady communication. You'll manage family law cases from initial research and case planning through negotiation, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Duties:
- Advise clients on family law matters (i.e. Divorce, SAPCR, Modification, Enforcement, etc.) explain relevant procedural law, and maintain consistent client communication.
- Conduct legal and statutory research using Westlaw; prepare legal writing, motions, and other filings.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery, motions, orders, and other legal documents
- Organize records and deadlines through legal case management practices.
- Negotiate resolutions, prepare for court hearings and trials, and provide legal advocacy in litigation.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
- 1 to 2 years of Family law experience, law office experience, legal research and writing, legal drafting, negotiation, litigation, and legal case management.
- Demonstrated ability in client communication, legal counsel, legal motion preparation, trial preparation, and procedural law.
- Strong writing skills and sound judgment
