Job Description:Holland & Knight's State and Local Policy Regulation practice group is seeking an insurance regulatory associate with 1-5 years of experience for our Dallas (preferred), Houston, or Austin offices. Primary responsibilities include and are not limited to, conducting legal research, preparing written documents such as legal memos and opinion letters, communicating with regulators, preparing contracts, analyzing insurance related contracts and other types of agreements, attending hearings and other meetings, reviewing due diligence documents, and preparing regulatory filings. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, a commitment to client service, and the ability to appropriately prioritize matters is essential. Candidate must be licensed to practice and in good standing in Texas and have a minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance regulatory law. Job Requirements:
- 1-5 years of transferable experience within a law firm or insurance regulatory agency.
- Superb attention to detail, as well as organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research skills.
This position may be filled in Austin, Dallas, or Houston, Texas. In accordance with Pay Transparency Laws, the pay range for this position in these locations is $225,000 – $365,000/yr. This range may not be applicable to other locations. In individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
