Responsibilities:
- Develop legal strategies from C-files and medical records
- Draft and file VA appeals, legal briefs, and motions
- Represent veterans before the BVA and VA regional offices
- Collaborate with case managers and paralegals
- Track all deadlines and progress in Prevail
- Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
Qualifications:
- Experience in VA disability law a plus — but not required
- Strong legal writing, advocacy, and organizational skills
- Tech-savvy, team-oriented, and client-focused
- Deep respect for veterans and a commitment to meaningful work
- Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus
- Able to work independently while handling multiple files
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
