Ideal candidates will have strong research and writing skills, the desire and ability to effectively advise and represent a diverse client base, and good advocacy skills. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with our managing partner and gain hands-on experience in a broad range of appellate related or type matters.
Responsibilities:
- Researching, writing on, and analyzing complex legal issues
- Case assessment and legal issue spotting
- Handle and manage client reporting, billing, and legal deadlines
- Meet or exceed monthly billable hour goal of 180 hours
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice in the State of Texas
- Sound, fundamental knowledge of state and federal procedural rules
- Able to work with a team in a collaborative environment or independently
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience:
Appellate experience or extensive legal research and writing experience of at least 3 years is preferred
License/Certification:
Member of the State Bar of Texas
