Position Summary:
The Civil Litigation Associate will manage a diverse caseload from inception through trial while collaborating with experienced partners and senior attorneys. The ideal candidate is confident handling litigation independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Manage a litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and legal correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Prepare witnesses and clients for testimony
- Develop litigation strategy with supervising partners
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status
- Analyze evidence and prepare case evaluations
- Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff
- Accurately record billable time and meet productivity expectations
- Participate in business development and networking activities
Qualifications:
Required:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the Texas Bar
- 3–7 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience drafting dispositive motions and written discovery
- Experience taking or defending depositions
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional oral advocacy and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Client-focused mindset with professional judgment
