Associate Tax Counsel
Primary responsibility will be to help manage the U.S. federal income tax audit and otherwise assist in various tax planning projects. The individual will also support M&A activity from a tax perspective and provide support for any state and local indirect tax audits.

We will count on you to:
  • Assist in the management of A Risk, Strategy and Human Capital Management Company's U.S. federal income tax audit, including through providing technical & analytic support of the company's positions, drafting responses to IRS inquiries and gathering and organizing relevant information
  • Aid in developing, researching, documenting and executing worldwide planning projects to streamline operations, improve earnings and cash flow, and minimize tax liabilities
  • Support M&A transactions including structuring, contract review, and tax due diligence
  • Assist with state and local Sales and Use audits
  • Counsel senior tax department personnel on legal and technical issues as they arise
  • Maintain currency on tax legislative and regulatory changes as they affect A Risk, Strategy and Human Capital Management Company
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, legal, and treasury to execute projects as well as work with outside advisors as necessary to accomplish the foregoing

What you need to have:
  • J.D., accounting background a plus
  • 1-4 years law firm, accounting firm and/or corporate experience in a tax role (Note: tax LLM may count as a year of experience for these purposes)
  • Word, PowerPoint, basic Excel skills as well as familiarity with tax research databases
