Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP seeks an Associate (Senior) in
New York, NY to work on public and private international law, and civil
law issues for an international US law firm. Coordinate teams in
reviewing and preparing legal documentation related to international
disputes and discovery. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable
distance from the worksite. Requires JD, LLM or foreign equivalent and
four years of experience as an Associate or related occupation. Must
include 4 years of experience in each of the following: Advising and
representing Latin American clients in international arbitrations,
including commercial and investment arbitrations, and in negotiations in
relation to same; Preparing document requests, including in Redfern
format, responding to document requests, reviewing documents and
producing documents in international arbitrations; Supporting, preparing
and delivering written and oral arguments before international
arbitration tribunals; Working with witnesses and experts in the context
of international arbitrations, including cross-examining and defending
witnesses and legal experts before international arbitration tribunals;
and Advising and representing clients before state and federal courts in
the United States, including in proceedings in aid of arbitration and
resisting attachments requested in connection to arbitration. Must be
admitted to practice law in the State of New York. The base salary for
associate positions is $225,000 – 435,000 / year, depending upon class
