What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have:

A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
3-5 years of legal practice, ideally with experience at a reputable law firm or in an in-house counsel role, with a focus on corporate law, governance, and complex commercial agreements. Experience in construction, leasing, finance, and airports/aviation is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft succinct, effective documents.
The capability to work independently, managing multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
Exceptional organizational skills.
A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to high-quality work.
A strong understanding of corporate governance principles and legal compliance requirements.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal research, contract management, and risk management tools.
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.

What you will do:
Your role will involve a broad spectrum of responsibilities including:

Contract Review, Drafting, and Analysis: Handling a wide range of commercial agreements.
Corporate Governance: Supporting compliance and governance functions.
Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating legal risks.
Due Diligence: Conducting reviews in support of corporate transactions.
Dispute Resolution Support: Assisting in managing litigation matters.
Legal Research and Analysis: Keeping updated on legal developments.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the organization meets legal and regulatory standards.
Training and Education: Developing legal training programs.
Collaboration: Working with various teams to provide legal support.
Legal Records Management: Organizing and maintaining legal documents.
