We are currently seeking a licensed Associate Litigation Attorney in our Chicago, IL office with 2-4 years of litigation experience in the practice of Real Estate Law.

Manage your own caseload, which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Drafting complaints, dispositive motions, ADR summaries, and settlement documents
  • Attending court hearings, including, but not limited to, motion hearings, pre-trial conferences, ADRs, evidentiary hearings, and trials, throughout Illinois
  • Reviewing and responding to discovery requests, as well as propounding discovery and conducting depositions
  • Reviewing contested pleadings and drafting responses, replies, and/or motions
  • Investigating facts and legal issues to determine causes of action
  • Researching, analyzing, and interpreting sources of law such as statutes, rules and regulations, ordinances, case law, and other legal opinions
  • Ensuring deadlines are maintained
  • Entering and reviewing billable time
  • Complying with client requirements
  • This position will work directly with the Firm's clients in providing recommendations and determining strategies for proceeding
  • The caseload includes title litigation, contested foreclosures and evictions, nuisance abatement, collections, landlord-tenant, and other real estate related civil litigation

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Must be licensed in the State of Illinois and be an active and in good standing member of the State Bar of Illinois
  • Must be licensed in the Northern District of Illinois with ability to gain licensure in Central and Southern District of Illinois
  • Minimum 2-4 years of litigation experience
