Maynard Nexsen's Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation (“EBEC”) Practice Group is the largest and most experienced benefits practice in Alabama, and one of the largest in the Southeast, with highly-skilled attorneys dedicated to advising clients exclusively on benefits, executive compensation, and related matters, including most notably, the design, implementation, maintenance, and overall legal compliance of employer-sponsored retirement and health & welfare plans; all aspects of executive and equity compensation arrangements; and the negotiation of benefits, compensation, equity, and incentives in various corporate transactions. Our clients span across virtually all industries and range from start-ups to multinational public companies.Opportunity Overview: Maynard Nexsen's EBEC Practice Group is seeking an associate attorney to join its growing, supportive, and collaborative team. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of relevant experience.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience and/or an interest in benefits and executive compensation, general corporate, and/or tax law. An LL.M. in taxation is a plus, but is not required. - Legal research and analysis;
- Advising clients on benefits and employment issues, with a focus on health and welfare benefits;
- Advising clients in all benefits and compensation-related matters, including plan design, implementation, compliance, corrections, amendments, and terminations;
