Join Pega's global legal team—a collaborative group of professionals who support the business across a wide range of legal matters. You'll work alongside experts in data privacy, cybersecurity, corporate governance, public company reporting, intellectual property, and commercial contracting, partnering with stakeholders across the company to deliver strategic legal guidance.

Picture Yourself at Pega:
As Associate Counsel, you will be a key member of Pega's global legal team supporting the company in a range of matters, including employment law matters, reviews of supplier contracts, press releases and other marketing communications, and partnering with team members and colleagues across the Company on other legal work as needed.

What You'll Do at Pega:
  • Provide strategic and day‑to‑day legal advice on employment law matters across the Americas, including hiring, performance management, discipline, terminations, restrictive covenants, leaves of absence, accommodations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Manage employment-related investigations and claims, including supervising outside counsel.
  • Provide practical, solutions-oriented guidance that empowers the People team to manage legal risk effectively while supporting positive employee experiences and business objectives.
  • Monitor and interpret employment law developments across the Americas and deliver training and education to colleagues on legal requirements, emerging risks, and best practices, translating legal changes into actionable guidance.
  • Collaborate with global team members and colleagues to drive company-wide best practices and consistency in employment matters.
  • Work with the Procurement team to review and advise on contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Advise the marketing team concerning draft press releases and other public communications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the legal team globally on a wide range of issues including alignment of processes and how best to deliver excellent legal support to the business.

What You've Accomplished:
  • Juris Doctorate required, admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing, preferably with training and experience in a law firm setting.
  • Experience advising on employment law matters.
  • Proactive self-starter, demonstrated ability to perform, succeed and multi-task, balancing varying deadlines.
  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and business stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Desire to take on special projects and additional responsibilities, as needed.
  • Continuous learning and professional development mindset.

Additional Information:
Base salary range for this role is 100,400 - 150,200 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
