Our Copyright Litigation & Counseling team offers a unique and cross-disciplinary practice and works with a range of clients — from startups to the world's leading technology companies — on copyright matters that run the gamut from a quick phone call to talk through a product design question, to developing a commercial strategy for compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, to litigating infringement cases in federal court and rate-setting matters in federal agencies, to negotiating “business critical” content licenses. We also provide strategic counseling for companies in the music and digital media space, including with regard to structuring business models, rights clearance strategy, content catalogue build-out, data/financial reporting, and user acquisition/retention.
Latham brings exceptional copyright experience. Latham's copyright team includes renowned trial and transactional lawyers, thought leaders widely recognized for their creative legal strategies for resolving cutting-edge cases and negotiating first-of-their-kind deals, and includes a former General Counsel of the US Copyright Office.
