Cantor Injury Law is a personal injury law firm located in St. Louis, Missouri, dedicated to representing injured individuals and their families. We are seeking a Missouri-licensed Associate Attorney to join our Workers' Compensation team.Workers' Compensation experience is preferred, but not required. We welcome applications from attorneys with little to no experience, as well as attorneys with prior Missouri Workers' Compensation experience. We are looking for the right person who is motivated to learn, takes initiative, and is committed to providing excellent representation to our clients.

As a Workers' Compensation Associate, you will have the opportunity to handle cases from initial intake through resolution while working with experienced attorneys and a dedicated support team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle and assist with all aspects of Missouri Workers' Compensation claims from intake through resolution.
- Meet with prospective clients and participate in the intake and case evaluation process.
- Communicate proactively with clients and provide regular updates regarding their cases.
- Investigate claims and assist in developing case strategy.
- Communicate and negotiate with insurance companies, claims representatives, defense attorneys, and opposing counsel.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, stipulations for compromise settlements, and other legal documents.
- Review and analyze medical records, medical opinions, employment records, and other evidence relevant to a client's claim.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
- Represent clients at hearings before the Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation.
- Take and defend depositions as experience and training develop.
- Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure all deadlines and case requirements are met.
- Work closely with paralegals and other attorneys to effectively manage cases.
- Stay current on Missouri Workers' Compensation law and relevant legal developments.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and responsive representation to clients.
Qualifications:
- Active Missouri Bar license and in good standing.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Workers' Compensation experience is preferred but not required.
- Attorneys with little to no experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
