The Role:Knox Ricksen is seeking a California-licensed attorney with 1 to 4 years of litigation experience to join our Complex Fraud Litigation practice. This is a remote position (with in-person attendance at litigation proceedings as needed) for a motivated attorney who prefers to work as part of a collaborative team and is passionate about vindicating victims' rights.
The attorney hired for this role will work alongside and learn from senior attorneys. As a team, they will litigate civil fraud cases from the investigation phase through discovery, motion practice, and trial. They will hone their litigation skills including written and oral advocacy, legal analysis and research, and developing and implementing litigation strategies in complex disputes. The annual billable hour expectation is 1850 hours.

Responsibilities:
- Legal Research – Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support case strategy and motion practice
- Legal Writing– Prepare initial drafts of motions, discovery requests and responses, deposition outlines, and meet-and-confer correspondence
- Document Review & Evidence Analysis – Perform document review, annotation, evidence summaries, chronologies, and evidence rubrics
- Investigations – Strategize and implement investigative tasks and draft investigative memoranda
- Hearings & Depositions – Support hearing, deposition, expert, and trial preparation; attend proceedings as assigned and take select depositions as experience develops
Qualifications:
- Licensed in California and in good standing
- 1-4 years of litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- Excellent organizational skills
- California residence preferred
