We are seeking a motivated North and/or South Carolina Litigation Associate to join our team handling first-party property damage claims, offering the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload in a collaborative environment with experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will handle all phases oflitigation from initial case evaluation through trial, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and discovery documents, taking and defending depositions, attending hearings and mediations, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, developing case strategies, and managing their caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines. Duties:
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case development.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, dispositive motions, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Manage case files efficiently within the law office's case management system while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Participate in client meetings to gather pertinent information and provide updates on case progress.
  • Support litigation processes through document review, discovery management, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for negotiation and dispute resolution.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to North or South Carolina. 1 to 2 years of experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and effective legal documents.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in legal drafting and research tasks.
  • Prior experience working in a litigation law firm is preferred, but not required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
