Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Immigration Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in detainee hearings via Webex, maintaining comprehensive case files for preliminary hearings and trials for detained clients, and preparing pleadings for federal cases. This role requires a strong understanding of immigration law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in detainee hearings via Webex, ensuring their rights are protected and advocating for their best interests.
Maintain and organize case files for preliminary hearings and trial detained clients, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Prepare and file pleadings for federal immigration cases, adhering to all relevant legal standards and deadlines.
Conduct legal research and stay informed on changes in immigration law and policy to provide the best representation for clients.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case status and answering any questions they may have.
Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance legal knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in any jurisdiction.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on detainee representation preferred.
Strong understanding of federal immigration procedures and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly.
Proficient in using technology for remote hearings and case management.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
