What You'll Do:
- Litigation & Advocacy
- Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
- Prepare for trials and arbitration hearings alongside experienced attorneys
- Develop litigation strategy with Partners
- Build courtroom advocacy skills
- Legal Research & Writing
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research on complex employment law issues
- Analyze legal authorities and develop persuasive arguments
- Discovery
- Draft written discovery
- Prepare subpoenas and deficiency letters
- Review documents produced during litigation
- Assist in responding to discovery requests
- Settlement
- Participate in settlement negotiations
- Attend mediations and settlement conferences
- Evaluate cases for settlement opportunities
- Work directly with clients throughout the litigation process
What We're Looking For:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active bar license, recent bar passage, or pending admission
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- A strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn
- Proficiency with legal research platforms or a willingness to quickly learn new technology
