Description:

We are a small full-service estate planning/probate law firm specializing in serving families with loved ones with disabilities. We are seeking an associate attorney that is interested in a long-term career opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience in probate work or estate planning.

Responsibilities include:
  • The candidate will be responsible for estate planning and probate matters from intake through conclusion (with assistance from supervising attorney).
  • Primary areas of practice include estate planning/special needs planning, court supervised trust matters, court accountings, probate administration upon death, and all aspects of conservatorship matters.
  • The candidate will be supported by paralegal staff, administrative staff, and a senior attorney.
  • This position provides significant room for growth and opportunity within the firm.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Member of the State Bar of California, in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years experience in probate work or estate planning. Knowledge of WealthDocs a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Adobe Acrobat; ability to learn new programs as needed
  • Self-motivated, flexible, with exceptional follow-through skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
