Position Overview:
Ralph Sanchez Law is seeking an experienced and driven Associate Attorney to join our growing personal injury litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience handling personal injury matters and be capable of independently managing cases from pre-suit through litigation.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a substantial caseload, work closely with firm leadership on case strategy, and play a meaningful role in achieving exceptional outcomes for injured clients. The successful candidate will possess strong litigation skills, excellent client communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding legal representation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage a caseload of personal injury matters through pre-litigation and litigation.
  • Evaluate liability, damages, and case value while developing effective litigation strategies.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and mediation memoranda.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, evidentiary review, and trial strategy development.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status, expectations, and legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with and supervise paralegals, litigation assistants, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and firm protocols.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 3–5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
  • Experience handling depositions, mediations, motion practice, and discovery.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and personal injury law.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and case management abilities.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Trial experience as first or second chair.
  • Experience supervising paralegals, legal assistants, or support staff.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating settlements and resolving complex injury claims.
