Job Description:Hillstone Law is a dynamic and fast-growing personal injury law firm seeking a talented, driven, and highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our Los Angeles team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take an active role in personal injury litigation, develop their skills, manage meaningful cases, and grow within an expanding firm. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury matters and be comfortable managing cases throughout the litigation process.

Compensation: $100,000–$200,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters through all stages of litigation
- Develop and present theories of liability and damages
- Evaluate client injuries, medical treatment, future care needs, damages, and the impact of injuries on quality of life
- Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, meet and confer correspondence, and other litigation documents
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions, including party, witness, and expert depositions
- Prepare for and attend court appearances, hearings, case management conferences, and other proceedings
- Prepare for and attend mediations and settlement conferences
- Conduct settlement negotiations and advocate for favorable resolutions on behalf of clients
- Review and analyze medical records, surgical reports, medical bills, expert reports, and other case-related documentation
- Develop litigation and settlement strategies based on the facts and circumstances of each case
- Work closely with clients throughout the litigation process and provide regular case updates
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff to ensure cases move forward efficiently
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as needed
- Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars
- Ensure all matters are handled professionally, efficiently, and with a strong focus on client service
Qualifications:
- Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California
- Personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Experience taking and defending depositions preferred
- Courtroom and mediation experience preferred
- Trial experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of California civil procedure and personal injury litigation
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and a litigation caseload
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Client-focused mindset with strong professional judgment
